Mud Rooster is a Central Florida blues band that’s been rocking local establishments for 15 years. The band consists of 3 of the areas more seasoned A-list musicians: Dave DeQuasie on guitar and vocals, Jeff LaFrate on drums, and Jim Young on bass and vocals. All three players are also local instructors at some of the area’s better music schools in Winter Garden and Oveido. Their funky and stylish takes on the blues, rockabilly, and classic rock greats sets them apart from the crowd. Influences range from Hound Dog Taylor to Howling Wolf, Muddy Waters, Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, ZZ Top, Stray Cats, The Allman Bros., Steely Dan, and Hendrix.
